Hello world! 2

Are you sad? Are you mad? Are you scared? I would love to talk to you.
Do you love talking about the Bible? Awesome!
Do you feel like you can’t trust God anymore? I am truly sorry. Let’s talk about it.
Are you an atheist? Come, let us reason together.
Are you just confused about something? Maybe I can help.
Do you have wisdom? Please share it!

If you do not believe in the God of the Bible, you are super welcome here. I have friends who share your disbelief and I love talking to them about worldview, apologetics, etc. And no, I am not trying to get you to believe, say or do ANYTHING for the purpose of escaping the fires of hell and making it into heaven (I believe salvation from hell is from start to finish a work of God…I’ll explain more later). But I do hope to get you to take a fresh look at Jesus Christ, and at your own worldview. I want you to help me see the holes in my own logic. I’d like to advance the idea that there is more love, more power, more reason, more comfort, and more beauty underlying the Christian worldview than you realized. I want to move you towards this mindset: “Wow. Jesus Christ really loves me. I’m going to love Him back!” I say “towards” because none of us ever totally gets there in this life.

If you do believe in the God of the Bible, I will tell you this: I have problems and struggles and sin in my life. But there ARE numerous things about life and the Bible that I think I have learned along the way. I have been through some fires, and though I will never get even close to perfection this side of glory, I can see a significant amount of dross that has burned away. And more and more, I feel called to reach out to others. The things I’ve learned by experience, and the things that other godly people have taught to me, are so precious to me…maybe you will benefit from them as well. I’m generally pretty conservative in my theology, but if you do see me advance some doctrine you haven’t heard before, I won’t blame you for being bothered. But know that I most likely did not come up with it myself, but rather was taught it by faithful ministers in the Primitive Baptist fellowship. And more importantly, check out the Bible verses for yourself, because I will mention plenty of them. I read the Bible first thing in the morning, and later on with my kids, every day, so don’t think I’m just pulling wild ideas out of the sky or mindlessly parroting the ideas of others. Be a noble Berean and check it out. And if you do see an inconsistency/error in my hermeneutics, please do let me know. We can sharpen each other.

And, well, I love writing! So I think I am supposed to do this!
